About Art Lessons

Age 7 - 10

Drawing is fun -
Broadening students' visual images; cultivating good drawing habits and work ethics; challenging imagination and creative picture-making abilities; color mixing and coloring skills; exploring different drawing/painting media; introducing basic observational drawing skills, basic shape approach, line fluency, proportion and visual depth.

Every child can benefit from these lessons for brain stimulation and fine motor skills; they can also gain confidence and interest in art for further study.

Materials:
- A spiral bound drawing pad: 9"x12", paper weight at least 65 lb. (Available at Amazon.com and local art & crafts stores and some department stores,)

- The studio will provide all other drawing and coloring materials

To parents and caregivers:

Thank you very much for your interest in my art lessons!

No drawing experience is needed to start these art lessons. The best learning experience happens when students join a group that matches their age and drawing level. For children who have never taken any drawing lessons, if their age fall in between the groups, I recommend they start with a younger class before switching to an advanced one.

The exact nature of each class is based on students' preferred schedule, age, drawing experience, and any siblings/friends, etc. in the same class. The more schedule options you provide and the more I know about your student, the easier it is for me to place them into the class that best fits their needs. I will confirm your class after balancing all these elements, along with details for payment.

Putting each student in the best group for their needs and experience is important; it requires time, and back-and-forth communication. Thank you very much for your flexibility, understanding and patience in advance!

I look forward to hearing from you and working with your young artists!

Thank you!
